PROGRAM & CURRICULUM
The International School of Ballet offers an enhanced curriculum, from pre-ballet through advanced, and from pre-professional to professional levels.
Classes:
Studies include:
Classical Ballet Technique. The full range of the
Royal Academy of Dance syllabus work and examinations is offered. Major level
students also receive instruction in the Vaganova and Cecchetti techniques in
Master and Open classes.
Pointe. Offered for pre-elementary,
intermediate, advanced, open and master classes.
Classical Repertoire
(Major Level). Variations and divertissements from the classical masterpieces
are taught from first hand experience (i.e. Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, Giselle,
Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty , Les Patineurs, The Nutcracker).
Stretching
and Limbering (Grade One to Major Level & Adult). Weekly half hour class
to correct and enhance flexibility, strength and body placement.
Character
(Grade One to Grade Five Syllabus, Production Choreography & Repertoire). Steps
and dances based upon the national dances are taught as adapted to the classical
stage from various cultures of the world.
Private and Technical
Coaching (Grade Three to Major, Pre-Professional and Professional). Classes
can be scheduled by appointment for examination and audition preparation.
Adult Ballet (Teens & Adults, Beginner & Intermediate). Weekly
classes for teens and adults offering classical ballet technique for physical
and personal development and enjoyment.
Modern (Grades
& Majors). Jose Limon technique.
Jazz (Grades & Majors)
